Eclectic

I’m loving the colour rust for winter!

What I wore this past Sunday to go shopping, it was a lovely warm day here in Cape Town, unlike the cold winters days we are experiencing of late. Sensing the blossoming weather I decided to wear my new wedges, pairing it with a cute baby doll top, also I’m a big fan of hair accessories so I turned a regular headscarf into a turban for a bit of an edge.

Wearing black everyday for work is really boring and uninspiring. It feels like I’m in constant mourning, especially since I’m a bright, floral kinda person. So I try to take full advantage of off days by wearing things I like and basically just expressing myself. Don’t get me wrong black is chic and all, but everyday is a little to much for me!

Also a massive thank you to all my readers, I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my rants. I can’t believe I was thinking of not blogging anymore as I felt overwhelmed with work and everyday life,  but I realised that this is a place where I can fully express myself and share my passion for fashion.

Trend spotting: Sari maxi skirt

I’m seeing this a lot lately, a maxi sari skirt worn with a button down shirt or a slouchy tee. I do like the thought of combining special pieces (or rather things that would usually only be worn on special occasions) with everyday items, it makes an outfit interesting.

Although, I’m still not sure whether this works or not, what do you think?

I love this look, great combo!

This skirt is so pretty, however, I would prefer it with a slouchy white tee.

Till next time, thanks for reading xx

About Me

If I’ve chosen to right about something it usually means its something I’m excited about, or simply a point I want to get across, so bear with me if between all the excitedness I get carried away and my perfect language usage goes out the window.

(yes I did just say excitedNESS!)

Africa

Today we celebrate AFRICA day, our unique heritage!

Words cannot begin to explain: the people, the culture, nature etc. Yet there are still people who have this narrow minded view of Africa being a poor, oppressed country. No get out of that NEGATIVE mindset, see the POSITIVES TOO. We are of the richest people you can find, and by that I’m not referring to wealth. Africa has so much to offer, we have the most amazing people, abundant resources, so what more do we want? We should all stand together and make its potential known. We need to appreciate what we have. There is no place like AFRICA.

My world.My country.My home.

Yeah you guessed right, I’m back to posting shoe of the day (at least)…Apologies for lack of posts, replies to comments, emails etc. I’ve been rather busy but my love of fashion will always be there and I’ll be sharing it with you guys. Thanks again for reading xx

Watercolours

A peek at what I wore to a wedding recently:

Yes; I’m still alive. In case you were wondering.

I’ve started a job ( yeah, finally!) so I’ve been super busy, but as soon as the dust settles I’ll be back to my regular blogging! Hope everyone is doing amazingly well :)

Till next time stay HAUTE <3
